MODEL. Barcelona Festival of Architectures
Apr — May 2024

Barcelona, Spain

Model. Barcelona Architectures Festival is a space for reflection and celebration that brings us experimental architecture and helps us to rethink how we wish to live together through new city models and imaginaries.

Launched by Barcelona City Council and the Catalan Architects' Association (COAC) in 2022, it is organised through the Fundació Mies van der Rohe in collaboration with a broad team of architects, curators and more than 50 of the city’s institutions and organisations, chosen through an open call for entries.

Model aims to turn urban spaces into a platform for architectural talent and up-and-coming design, the city into a meeting forum for leading thinkers from around the world and, more significantly, architecture into a space for exploration and inspiration for all the city's residents.

In 2024, the EUmies Award will be an important event of the Festival with the winners, finalists and jury members together with many other guests participating and sharing their experiences. This is the context in which we want to work with the LINA fellows.

What we look for in LINA fellows

The fellows that we would like to collaborate with should be curious, with skills that include communication, interest in the creation of networks, connection with the academia and interest in fields connected to architecture.

Depending on the background and knowhow of each fellow, the Fundació Mies van der Rohe will discuss how the collaboration takes place in terms of format and budget.
