I see nature as an inevitable source of fundamentals to still inform the shape of the built environment today. My work is based around the materiality of wood. I have finished university with a diploma thesis which deals with food production in relation to the urban environment - this project is mainly about finding alternatives to existing food systems and it was aimed to assess and outline possible scenarios for the city’s future development of food production. The diploma thesis was awarded in the competition Best Diploma Award organized by Czech Chamber of Architects. The project gained third place in a competition of over 100 proposals. I worked in the well-known architectural studio HAMR under the guidance of a living legend of Czech architecture, Martin Rajniš - a leader in the field of contemporary wooden architecture.

The diploma thesis deals with food production in relation to the urban environment. It reveals alternatives to existing food systems. It aims to assess and outline possible scenarios for the city’s future development of food production. The (un)used courtyard should serve this purpose. I perceive courtyards as a large spatial reserve in city centers on which urban agriculture could be practiced.
