Marius Lukošiūnas - born and living in Vilnius, primarily working in the field of architecture and experimenting with visual and audio media.

Baltrus Vileikis - born and living in Vilnius, landscape architect (recently finished BA, studying MA), most landscape projects are study related, limited experience from an internship, volunteer in the student council, „Green Me5“ project street landscaping competition participant, in my free time I draw, do photography, gardening, hobbyist videography. BA final thesis project in Baltupiai motivated me to join the team.

Although times have changed drastically, Baltupiai haven't. With new renovations and seeming change - coherence, sustainability, livability, remain dormant.

Currently the neighborhood lacks a "cultural center" for events, meetings, relaxing, ect. We propose at least ten years of cultural activities, leading to architecture competition for Baltupiai culture building. The vision for Baltupiai is polycentral - development of culture islands for the community, by the community. We seek to achieve our goals with small interventions over a long period. The project is being developed with the idea of community involvement. People of Baltupiai are quite eager for change and it would be ideal that with the project be carried out with the help of the community.

Culture island areas we selected are in strategic spaces that are not used to their full potential.

-- Intervention ideas --
Multifunctional book house: book sharing, relaxation, rain shelter, tea corner (drying herbs grown in the garden, preparing and drinking tea), study area, board games

Community herb-flower garden, potted plants, terrace on the waterfront, movable benches.

Reuse of materials already present: old building materials, use of natural materials such as - reeds, grass, fallen tree trunks, their bark. Development of existing dirt, gravel paths, redesign of market pavilions.
