Framing Spatial Conditions
I am a Stockholm-based artist working with installation, sculpture, painting, and spatial interventions. My practice explores the relationship between material, space, and perception, and how small changes can influence the way we experience our surroundings.
I am interested in the qualities of materials and the way they interact with the spaces they occupy. Through observation, construction, and reduction, I explore ideas of transformation, fragility, and the relationship between objects, architecture, and the human body.
In recent years, my work has moved increasingly toward spatial questions: how we notice places, how spaces shape our perception, and how minimal interventions can reveal something that was already present but overlooked. This ongoing research has developed through projects that investigate architectural elements, thresholds, and the relationship between existing spaces and temporary interventions.
I studied Print Techniques and later completed a Master’s degree in Graphic Design at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Graphic Arts. Since moving to Stockholm, I have continued my artistic development through Art Studies at Idun Lovén. My work has been exhibited in Stockholm and Berlin, including presentations at Husby Konstsalong, Gallery Rum, Idun Lovén, Urban Spree, and other independent art spaces.
My current practice exists between contemporary art and spatial exploration, using simple interventions to create new ways of looking at the environments we already inhabit.
Project / Research “Framing Spatial Conditions” explores how architectural space can become visible through small artistic interventions that shift our attention toward spaces and conditions that usually remain unnoticed. The project investigates how interventions can change the way we see, understand, and experience existing environments.
The research began from a simple question: what happens if we pay attention to overlooked corners and areas? What happens if existing architecture is translated into another medium? What can be revealed through the gaps between structures, the boundaries between inside and outside, and the invisible relationships that shape how we experience a place?
I approach architecture not only as a physical object but as a set of conditions created through distance, proportion, movement, relationship to the human body and perception. Through minimal interventions, I investigate how these conditions can be isolated, transformed and experienced differently. My aim is not to create new architecture, but to reveal possibilities that already exist within the spaces around us. The works develop a methodology based on framing, extending, and translating. The frame becomes a tool for directing attention rather than simply separating one space from another. It allows existing spatial relationships to be revealed and reconsidered.
The next stage of the research moves toward urban environments, where buildings themselves become framing devices. Through lightweight structures placed between existing architectural elements, I explore how the spaces between buildings can become temporarily visible and experienced in new ways.
The project proposes an artistic approach to space based on attention rather than addition. By focusing on existing conditions, it investigates how minimal interventions can reveal architecture not only as built form, but as a set of active spatial relationships.
